A straight comparison, written by Treasure Square, about Treasure Square and a competitor. Read it as such. We have kept the claims about HotDraw UK to what their own public site says, and we link to them so you can check rather than take our word for it. The two companies are not connected.
The core difference: where the result happens
HotDraw UK's site describes competitions decided by draws announced on Facebook Live, with instant win elements alongside them. The moment that matters is the draw.
Treasure Square settles the instant-win pool when your ticket is issued. Every winning ticket number is assigned before the competition opens; your number is checked against that list immediately and any cash or credit is in your wallet before you leave the page. A main prize is still drawn at the end of the run, so both moments exist — but you are not waiting to find out about most of the prize pool.
The thing only one of us has
Treasure Square runs treasure hunts on real UK town maps. A location is divided into a grid, real prizes are hidden under specific squares, and players reveal squares to find them. Some locations are free to play with a reveal allowance rather than a purchase; others are paid, and carry a jackpot.
This is not a variation on a competition — it is a different game, tied to a real place, and it is the honest answer to "why this site rather than another one".
Comparing like for like
Where the two sites genuinely compete is on the competition side: both are UK-only and 18+, both sell low-cost tickets, and both give away LEGO, tech, gift cards and cash. Prize-for-prize, the right question is which site has the specific thing you want on right now, at what ticket price, against how many tickets.
Two categories where HotDraw UK has run and we have not: Pokémon, and cars. We have never given away either. If that is what you are after, we are not the site for it.
Checks that settle it either way
Rather than trust a comparison written by one of the two parties, apply the same five checks to both: is the ticket allocation published; is the instant-win prize list published with remaining quantities; where is the free entry or skill question route; when are prizes paid; and what happens if a competition does not sell out. Our answers are on every competition page. Theirs are on theirs.
Frequently asked questions
Is this comparison impartial?
No, and it would be strange to claim otherwise — Treasure Square wrote it. We have limited the factual claims about HotDraw UK to what their own site states, named two categories where they run and we do not, and linked to them so you can check for yourself.
Are the two companies related?
No. There is no affiliation, partnership, ownership or endorsement between Treasure Square and HotDraw UK.
Which site is cheaper?
Our tickets run from 20p, with most competitions under 50p. Ticket prices on any site change per competition, so compare the two runs you are actually choosing between rather than the sites in general.
